There is no specific federal website privacy policy law regulating or requiring a website or app to post a policy.

However, Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act prohibits unfair or deceptive marketing practices. While the FTC does not regulate privacy issues, any deceptive act or practice in commerce will lead to liability under the FTC Act. If website/app operators gather and unlawfully disseminate or disclose information from visitors, this will generally be categorized as a deceptive or fraudulent business practice under the FTC Act.

How do we handle law enforcement of court orders for information requested about the services, hosting, etc that our customers have purchased from us?

Simple, we will not release ANY INFORMATION PERIOD, unless that request comes in the form of a COURT ORDER, and/or LEGAL SUBPEONA.

Furthermore, those requests must be of specific in nature to your site, which must contain your domain, your name, company name, etc. 

Meaning, a demand for "give us everything" will not happen, we will respond with they must tell us exactly what they want us to release to them on another and/or updated subpoena or court order.

The requesting party must also provide us a specific information on what they want, and the time frame they want from us. If the request is too wide and unspecific, we will deny such request, asking them to narrow their request to a specific set of dates, times, and types of information.  If the data they are requesting is not available, then we will tell them so, and only provide them to them a time frame of what we do have, but not provide to them what is available. This is up to them to determine what they want.
